A Banquet and Program was held to honor 100 years of MPGA Public Links / Senior Public Links Champions at The Metropolitan Club in Golden Valley MN

Honored Guests in the Golf Community gathered
In 1923 several men's golf clubs in the Minneapolis/St Paul area met to form an Association, they named it the
Minnesota Public Golf Association.
Interclub matches were played and the first MPGA Public Links Championship was held at Glenwood GC, on the grounds where Theodore Wirth Golf Course is today.
MPGA Championship events have been held every year since 1923. The Association now boasts 80 member clubs, representing thousands of public golfers throughout Minnesota.
